Donors control politicians, not the other way around.

The Donor Map is a sourced, navigable database tracking how money controls American politics. Every profile starts with the same question: who funds this person, and what did the funders get in return?

This is a beta. The database is live and growing. Some sections are deeper than others. The methodology is documented and open.

1,200+ sourced profiles · Politicians · Mega-Donors · PACs · Dark Money Networks · Lobbying Firms · Think Tanks · Media Pipeline

What’s Live

We don’t just track who donates. We track who lobbies. We track who manufactures the talking points. And we track who broadcasts them.

The Politicians

The backbone of the database. 700+ politician profiles — every one analyzed through the same lens: who funds them, what the funders want, and what they got.

Donald Trump · Chuck Schumer · Elizabeth Warren · Bernie Sanders · Mitch McConnell · Nancy Pelosi · Gavin Newsom · Ted Cruz

The Donors

The people who write the checks. Mega-donors, PACs, dark money networks, and the corporations that fund both parties.

Koch Network · AIPAC · Elon Musk · Peter Thiel · Sheldon Adelson · Goldman Sachs · Lockheed Martin · Fairshake PAC

The Lobbyists

The intermediaries who deliver the ask. 22 K Street firms mapped — revolving door pipelines, billing records, and the lobbyists who write the legislation their former colleagues pass. Section complete.

Akin Gump · BGR Group · Brownstein Hyatt · Squire Patton Boggs · Holland & Knight

The Think Tanks

The organizations that manufacture the talking points, the model legislation, and the intellectual cover. 27 think tanks mapped across the ideological spectrum. Section complete.

Heritage Foundation · Brookings Institution · Cato Institute · Center for American Progress · Federalist Society · RAND Corporation · Hoover Institution

The Media Pipeline

The personalities and outlets funded by the same donors who fund politicians. Manufacturing consent at scale. 50+ media profiles mapped — left, right, and center.

Ben Shapiro · Tucker Carlson · Joe Rogan · Rachel Maddow · Breaking Points · Daily Wire · Cenk Uygur · Glenn Greenwald

On March 16, 2026, Cuba’s national power grid collapsed. Ten million people went dark. The cause: a U.S. fuel blockade — Operation Southern Spear — that intercepted oil shipments to the island while sanctions cut off every alternative supply.

The Secretary of State managing this policy is Marco Rubio. His career was funded by the Fanjul sugar dynasty — the family that directly benefits from the elimination of Cuban agricultural competition. Their 2024 political spending: $2.9 million. The Trump administration’s $50 million conviction-day fundraiser was hosted at a Fanjul estate.

Behind the blockade, three donor pipelines converge: the sugar oligarchy gets permanent protection from Cuban competition. The LARA Fund — a $750M private equity vehicle run by Trump’s former Latin America envoy — is positioned to acquire Cuban infrastructure at fire-sale prices once the “distress” is sufficient. And Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart, Vice Chair of House Appropriations and the top congressional recipient of Fanjul money, ensures Congress funds the operation and blocks any reversal.

This is not diplomacy. This is economic warfare with a donor-class return on investment — documented in real time, with receipts.

The Supreme Court Was Purchased

Start with Leonard Leo and the Federalist Society. Follow the money through Judicial Crisis Network. Then read the justices — Thomas (Harlan Crow’s 30-year patronage), Alito (the Fisher trip), Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, Barrett. The conservative majority was built through a 40-year investment by a small number of billionaires. The return: Citizens United, Dobbs, Chevron.

The Investigations
